Never the Same

He gave a short smile and continued deeper. Everything was as he had left it. The beautiful cottage, the murmuring sounds of the trickling stream, the foreboding trees that sentry-ed the estate. Ah, it was home as he remembered it.

A warm flood of tender memories and interesting events from his childhood flashed before his eyes, reminscient of simpler times. Yes, this was where he was meant to be now. This long removed feeling of comfort had returned to him. The grooves of his old cushioned chair still fit his muscled form nicely. It was good...

Yet, all was not as it seemed. The dwelling seemed the same on the outside. But, it was not the same, and it would never be. He just hadn't noticed it yet...
