Man-Made Summer

See... I told you I'd be back:)

I dunno, perhaps it's the constant rushing from training to work and vice versa, or just the lack of oxygen after my run, but on the jog back, my brain jump started. And as its gears and levers started working, my pace slowed... and slowed and... well... slowed. What was initially a jog (warm-down) turned into a nice leisurely stroll back home. Until I was plagued by PROFOUND (don't laugh) thoughts.

I've come to the conclusion (wait for it).... that HUMANS (that's us btw) arent very realistic. As I strolled back home, what caught my attention wasnt the flashy sports cars and big bungalows that flanked me, but the *crish crush* of my feet crunching the golden brown dried leaves (it's very therapeutic). And then the thoughts started (my brain was REALLY low on oxygen). It struck me that people REALLY dont know how to take it easy... Myself included. It's always a rush to be the FIRST or the BEST or the TOP, to make life BETTER and to get things done INSTANTLY. But, is it realistic to be at the summit all the time?

I think in this case (and in many other cases) nature has got it right. A constant cycle. A balance. Dynamic Equilibrium. No one season is longer than the others. No rain lasts forever. Every high tide is preceeded by a low tide. It's got it right. There's no real rush for the seasons to come. There's no rush for the flowers to BLOOM the first. This competition is ALL man made.

Man has turned the world into a piece of coal. Under normal circumstances, the coal would undergo MANY (and i really mean MANY) years of compression to become an exquiste diamond. (SHINY SHINY. I LIKEY LIKEY) But man, in our desire for instantaneous results uses a MILLION dollar oven to pressure cook the coal. In the end, we get an inferior piece of diamond, not worth its weight in... well GOLD. So I ask what's the point...? (other than a MULTI-MILLION dollar industry:P)

I'm not going to hit you with all that moral mumbo-jumbo of slowing down and taking a break *waves hands in a BLAH fashion*, cause it's just NOT FEASIBLE in today's world. I'm just saying, that at times, remember to STOP! Take a STROLL and let the evening breeze relax you.

Boy, I do feel profound :P Enjoy!
XOXO Don't worry, it's not Gossip Girl OXOX
